I'm going to do it again. Thanks for the recommendation no will do it that way next time. I do think it was beceause I was short on aluminum, but I like your way. 👍👍
I learn a lot from your videos, I will try this same method for casting- I find greater detail is had when that part faces down. My theory is air bubbles. Get trapped on the top side and won't get as much metal material forced into all the right spots. Cheers mate!
Thanks, I'm glad to help 👌👌 Lost foam it shouldn't matter if it faces up or down for detail. This bad result was due to not having enough aluminum. It's possible that it filled each Dwarven sigil, but pulled some aluminum out of it to level out.
Nice share today! Man gotta love growing the hair out! I do not think i have ever had anything longer than a military style haircut besides when covid happened. Lol. Always enjoy.
Thanks buddy! When I was little I hadonher hair. Usually I just cut it myself and keep it short. Now I'm cutting it myself and trying to grow it out 🤣🤣. Have a great week!
Enjoying the vids as usual. I understand that you did not have enough aluminum, personally I feel that the objects were spread out far (I know it should not matter) But I like the idea of the Xmas Tree they use for jewelry were they really stack the 'tree' full in a small condensed area, I think it would help with flow pressure and also less material.
Thanks! I'm going to try it again a different way. I've done a flat lost foam cast before with no issue. I do think it was the black of pressure due to the shortage of aluminum.
maybe if the sprue was in the center you would get better flow to the ends
